WebNov 27, 2006 · Nov 27, 2006 #1 I've been fishing the Mersey between Stockport and the Ship Canal at Flixton for 2 years now and have had good numbers of chub, perch, roach but never a Barbel. Has anyone had Barbel from this stretch as i'm assuming that they must be there because of their presence upstream in the Goyt, Tame and Etherow. Dorset Taff 572
