I expected them to come on when the doors open and go off when the doors close, like on my other (German) car. WebLike some people said, this illumination kit isn't as bright as the picture shows. However, my interior is black, so I don't expect it to be. Older cars used to have lights in the footwell, and I thought it was utterly stupid that newer cars don't have this feature . All in all, I thought this was a solid purchase. It does exactly what I wanted.
