A Statutory Auditor is a person approved to carry out the audit of annual accounts or consolidated accounts. An Audit Firm is a firm that is approved to carry out Statutory Audits. Webb• In some circumstances, ICAEW staff will not have the delegated authority to make a decision on an RI application and it will therefore have to be referred to the ARC to consider. This could result in conditions and/or restrictions being placed on the granting of RI status (please refer to Appendix A for further guidance).
